A Jefferson City, Missouri native, Bruce began his career at Modern Business Systems (MBS), a family business where his father and mentor, Hallie Gibbs, introduced him to an industry he quickly grew to love. As a top-performing account rep, he earned his way into sales management.

He transitioned through MBS's acquisition by Alco Standard and eventually IKON, where he was tasked with turning around a struggling branch. By the late 1990s, he had grown the Chicago operation from 4 to 160 employees — establishing himself as a leader worth following.

In 1999, Bruce moved to St. Louis and founded GFI Digital with 4 employees and $1 million in revenue. Today, GFI Digital has grown to over 350 employees and $90+ million in annual revenue, with consistent growth of around 10% year over year. That track record has earned GFI recognition from vendor partners, customers, and the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, which has named GFI Digital a Top Workplace.

Outside the office, Bruce enjoys fishing, time with family, and mentoring the next generation of leaders — much the way his father once mentored him.
