May Employee Spotlight

Each month we recognize an employee for their growth & continued success at GFI Digital. For the month of May we spotlighted our Administration Manager out of Jefferson City, Missouri.

Meet Connie Seabaugh, Administration Manager in Jefferson City, Missouri.

Connie is celebrating her 15th year with the company , and we thought we would catch up with her & learn more about her role & hobbies outside the office.

Here is what Connie had to say:

  1. How long have you been with GFI Digital & Tell us a little bit about your role?

This marks my 15th year! I joined the GFI team in August of 2004, after 19 years in the industry, previously with Modern Business Systems and IKON. Making that a total of 34 years in the industry. In my current role as Administrative Manager I oversee the administrative operations that provides support to all of GFI Digital. Monitor day to day functions as well as managing and supporting staff. I work closely with my Managers who oversee their departments, which include Purchasing, Order Processing, Accounts Receivable, Customer Service/Major Vendor teams.

2. What’s been one of your proudest moments for you working at GFI?

In my 15 years there have been many proud moments, but one that stands out above the rest is leading our Admin team to a successful software conversion from OMD to Eautomate in 2013. This was a huge undertaking! Our team worked together to get our billing all converted and validated in a record time to keep revenues billing timely and to be as seamless as possible to our customers and the company. I was very proud of how our team pulled together to accomplish that.

3. What is something you always wanted to try and never have?

Kayaking! On calm waters, of course, I’m kind of a chicken! I am hoping to try that out this summer when we are camping.

4. You are walking out after work today & you find the Winning Lottery ticket worth $10 Million Dollars… What do you buy first?

Land with the view of the countryside, to build my forever home.

5. As a Lobster how have you grown from Dale Carnegie training?

There are so many good points to grow from that we have learned in our Dale Carnegie training. One that I have focused on is truly listening to others points of view and then learning from that. Being in the industry for so long it is just as important to listen and learn new ways as it is for me to share my knowledge that I have gained over the years. Keeping an open mind to an ever changing industry.

See what her supervisor had to say about her time with the company:

"Connie’s years of industry experience as well as her can-do attitude make her a valuable asset to GFI Digital. Her leadership ability is apparent to anyone that walks into the Jefferson City Administration Center and sees the great atmosphere and teamwork. I’m glad I have Connie on my team and enjoy working with her! "
